Robert Amstler Before I tell You about the more positive aspects of my life. I would like to take a moment to share some conflicting feelings I've experienced in the past.

It's most important to me for You to know, that even though I had a great childhood, I often had the feeling of "being useless". I definitely was not good in school, I was bored with the material, and I could not focus no matter how hard I tried. I wished I had the kind of interest in books and all around information that my brother and father naturally had. My older brother and sister were very popular and always the `center of attention` at parties. My mother always tried to save the family and my father always tried to save the world. Sometimes I felt nervous and insecure in many kinds of situations. Only during sports and sitting in front of the television set, I found myself the happiest.

When I asked my mother about my childhood, she said I was a calm child; I did not make a lot of trouble. That is very true because I didn't talk a lot and I did not have a lot of friends. To take a step back, on the day of my birth, the doctors told my mother that we were "lucky", they were fighting hours for my life because the umbilical cord was wrapped tightly around my neck. Until the age of six, I had breathing problems in situations when I was upset about something. What really kept me going was the thought, that others have suffered a lot more and that one day I will have the opportunity to help in a big way. On the other hand I was lucky and blessed with my family. I wish that everyone had family members or at least close friends, which You can trust and be able to take care of each other in good and bad times!

I definitely had a blessed childhood. Everyone took care of each other in my family. My parents and older siblings, all were into sports. When I was very little, I always watched them, they were very competitive and I got the taste for doing the same. At the age of four I began playing several sports, and by the age of twelve, I was competing in track & field, swimming, tennis, table tennis and skittle(bowling). Around the age of fourteen, people would ask me if I trained in the gym, I said no.

Robert Amstler Inspired from American action movies, like 'Rocky' and the 'Terminator' I found myself doing push-ups, squats, and sit-ups at home. When I met my best friend at the age of seventeen, he could not believe I had never worked out in a gym before. He had been training for the past three years.

After graduating from Handelsschule School and serving time in the army as a guard, I held several different office jobs as well as working periodically, during the evenings as a Doorman in several Nightclubs.

Yours, Robert Amstler
